Making fire hybrid pepper olive oil is easy, affordable, and makes a great gift! All you need is a glass bottle that can be sealed, fire hybrid peppers grown from your Vegehome, and regular olive oil. You can even add garlic cloves or fresh herbs like thyme, basil, rosemary, or oregano to the infused oil for added taste.

 

As the peppers soak, they will begin to sink to the bottom of the bottle. If you notice the peppers floating at the top are exposed, add a little more oil as peppers that are not fully submerged in the oil can become mouldy. 

 

When the oil becomes infused with the fire hybrid peppers, it creates a phenomenal cuisine staple essential for every spice-lover.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoons+ of fresh hot peppers (finely diced)
  • 2 cups of virgin olive oil

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine the oil and diced hot peppers in a heavy small saucepan.
  2. Cook over low heat for approximately 5 minutes.
  3. Cool, and place the mixture into a clean glass jar or bottle.
  4. The oil will store at room temperature for several months.
